That’s how John Schedler, FieldTurf’s director of sales and construction for military and federal projects, describes the newly installed artificial-turf field at the sports complex north of the dorms.
“The technology that’s gone into the long-fiber turf systems that FieldTurf makes is unique,” Schedler said. “The two founders of the company sat down and took an existing product that only had sand in it. They expanded on it to include a longer fiber turf and a specific mixture of sand and rubber that felt like a very high-end natural grass field.”
